The Minister for Health and Children has set up a National Committee on Folic Acid Food Fortification and has requested the Food Safety Authority of Ireland (FSAI) to act as the Secretariat to the Committee. The FSAI therefore manage this website.
This Privacy Statement applies to all personal data collected via this website, www.folicacid.ie. By using the website, you accept the practices described in this Statement. We may update our Privacy Statement from time to time to take account of changing requirements such as changes in technology or legislation.

The FSAI fully respects your right to privacy, and will not collect any personal information on this website without your clear permission. Any personal information volunteered will be treated with the highest standards of security and confidentiality, strictly in accordance with the Data Protection Act, 1988 & 2003 (Amendment).
We have numerous internal procedures in place to keep the information we have on users as safe and secure as we possibly can. We cannot, however, guarantee the privacy or confidentiality of any information passing over the internet via non-secured email.
Collection of Personal Information
The FSAI will only ask for personal information that is relevant in order to answer a specific query or process a specific task (e.g. your name, company name, address, email etc). This gathering of information is consistent with our offline work practices. We do not forward information about you to any third party, unless required by Law. Right of Rectification or Erasure
